Twitter for real life

Image via WikipediaMcKay Flooring have been using the social microblogging platform Twitter for about 5 months now and it was good to get some 'real life' meetings with a few of the folk that we are linked to on Twitter. On Sunday night it was our great pleasure to meet up with Robert Banks of Build Direct for a few Guinness. I had met Rob on the Twitter platform and we had an evening catching up on the flooring business from both sides of the Atlantic. The next day whilst at the Domotex floor show i was contacted by Runno Allikivi of Nano Floor whom i'd also came into contact via Twitter. Runno was in the next exhibition hall so it was easy to meet up with him in 'real life'. Another really nice chap! We wouldn't have caught up with these guys if not for Twitter.
